While deployed on the strike team, we had the opportunity to train and use the 1.5" Hen nozzle. I was impressed with its performance compared to the regular combination.
I believe that the Hen nozzles out performs the current 1.5" and 1.75" nozzles that we currently carry.

"Last week, we had 2 structure fires and we deployed the HEN. Everyone was impressed with it. We responded to a single family residence with flames from the attic. The straight stream had no difficulty reaching the opposite side of the room and Our crew was able to knock the fire down quickly with the HEN. The turbo definitely makes a difference with felt nozzle reaction. Everyone seemed pleased with it at the training session."

I am currently deployed on the Line Fire and was able to demo the HEN nozzle for Wildland operations. This nozzle out performed our current spec fog and 3/8 smooth bore nozzles and was efficient and very user friendly. I think it could be a valuable upgrade to our spec for Wildland and worth looking into.

"We used HEN nozzles again on a large outside fire this morning. Initial line was a 1 3/4" with the HEN 160 nozzle...the blade pattern worked amazing and made short work of the bulk of the fire. We ended up using two more 1 3/4" lines with HEN 160s to help with mop-up. Feedback from the crews continues to be excellent."
