Game changer...

Everyone that has had hands on experience with the Blade says that it is awesome. The Turbo is also a complete game changer, it makes a world of difference. The Turbo by and far exceeds any expectations, I don’t know how HEN developed that tool but it is without a doubt a game changer to the fire service with low pressure nozzles. That piece of equipment is worth every penny, it literally does make any hose better when you use it.

Love the pattern...

Game changer. Love the pattern vs combo nozzles. The simplicity of operation alone changes the thought process of the firefighter, not having to worry what the rate is set at, not having to worry about debris blocking your stream, and with a simple quarter turn to fan your stream is awesome.

Our crew was able to knock the fire down quickly with the HEN...

Last week, we had 2 structure fires and we deployed the HEN. Everyone was impressed with it. We responded to a single family residence with flames from the attic. The straight stream had no difficulty reaching the opposite side of the room and Our crew was able to knock the fire down quickly with the HEN. The turbo definitely makes a difference with felt nozzle reaction. Everyone seemed pleased with it at the training session.

It out performed our current spec fog and 3/8 smoothbore nozzles...

I am currently deployed on the Line Fire and was able to demo the HEN nozzle for Wildland operations. This nozzle out performed our current spec fog and 3/8 smooth bore nozzles and was efficient and very user friendly. I think it could be a valuable upgrade to our spec for Wildland and worth looking into.

The troops are very happy...

We have experience now using the nozzles in interior structure fires, we use them in junkyards, vehicle fires, wildland settings, in all applications we have found the blade pattern does allow us to achieve faster extinguishment with less water usage overall.

I was impressed with the blade pattern effectiveness. As the nozzleman on the line, seeing what the pattern is capable of was exceptional. I cannot see any reason why this pattern overall would not be superior to a SB in almost any interior attack situation.

It was a complete knockout...

Our team has been able to field test the HEN 45 for the last three years and the results are so good that our unit is going to adopt them completely.... I recently had the opportunity to use the HEN 45 on a WUI fire, as we pulled up there was 30 to 50ft flame lengths burning ornamental vegetation licking the house. I pulled out the HEN 45, put it in tight blade mode and in one pass, it was a complete knockout.

I got an immediate impact...

I got a major impact just immediately when I opened my stream. That simple just up and then down, the coverage that got into that room, got a really good knock... Our backup said you could really see due to the gas contraction, the intake of cool, fresh air rushing in behind us.

I wish I had one when I got to fight fire...

The feedback I have received so far is our staff loves it. I wish I had one of these back in my earlier years when I actually got to fight fire.
